INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup dark (70%) chocolate chips, melted
- 1 medium avocado, mashed
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ cup cocoa powder, unsweetened
- Optional: stevia drops for additional sweetness, feel free to opt for a flavoured drop like butterscotch, peppermint or orange
DIRECTIONS:
- Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring every 30-60 seconds to ensure chocolate doesn’t burn.
- Mash the avocado and add to the melted chocolate chips along with vanilla, salt and stevia (if desired). Mix very well until smooth.
- Place in the fridge for 20-30 minutes until thickened up.
- Use a tablespoon to scoop the mixture out, roll in your hands to shape into a ball. Roll through cocoa powder to dust. Feel free to try crushed nuts or crushed pretzel for more texture.
- Recipe will make approximately 16 small truffles.
- Store in the fridge, allow to warm slightly before eating.
