INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup coffee, brewed based on preference
- 1 packet of light hot chocolate (or see how to make dairy free homemade version below)
- ¼ tsp peppermint extract
Homemade hot chocolate:
- 1 cup oat milk
- 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
- 1 tbsp brown sugar or maple syrup (sugar free version: brown monk fruit sweetener)
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
DIRECTIONS:
- Brew a cup of coffee based on your preference.
- If using the hot chocolate packet, add it into your coffee along with the peppermint extract and use a handheld milk frother to combine.
- If you are making your own hot chocolate, add the ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Continue to whisk for 5 minutes. Add the hot chocolate into your coffee, along with the peppermint extract, with a ratio of ½ hot chocolate to ½ coffee. I recommend brewing your coffee extra strong if this is the case.
